Hakki-Paoli Method to Measure Laser Gain
Hakki-Paoli Method is a common method to measure semiconductor laser gain in Fabry-Perot Cavities. This method estimates the gain by the depth of the modulations in the Amplified Emission Spectra(ASE) caused by the Fabry-Pérot resonances of the laser cavity below threshold. One factor affecting such measurement is the dependence on the Optical Spectrum Analyser (OSA) resolution to fully resolve the modes.
